MA in Journalism and Media Industries:

Admission Details

Both journalism and audio-visual production domains have undergone fundamental changes in how content is produced, disseminated and consumed. This shift in the media industry has prompted SIMC to revise how we envision the academic programmes, with a new curriculum.

Journalism is increasingly mobile-first and digital-first, leading to newer specialisations like data journalism. The new programme's foundation remains in journalism, but it acknowledges and offers the new skills the media industry needs. The programme enables its graduates to seek careers in closely aligned verticals like strategic communication and core journalistic profiles.
