Dr. Ruchi is the current Director of SIMC and the Dean of the Faculty of Media & Communication (FOMC). She has been an integral part of SIMC Pune for more than 15 years. She enjoys teaching Media, Technology & Culture, and continues to conduct extensive research in those domains.

Her hobbies include reading, listening to podcasts, and walking.

She is a recipient of the prestigious SPARC Grant 2023 from the Ministry of Education, GoI. She is also working in the area of 'Streaming as Soft Power' in collaboration with Western University, Canada.
