The Alumni Relations Cell apart from its primary role is also engaged in other ancillary activities in order to support its larger goals and long term objectives. We also bear in mind the roadmap to be followed in order to gear up for the industry and its diverse domains, is not an easy task. Therefore, appreciating this concern, and addressing its requirement, with support from our seniors, we also engage in the following:
- Offering an insight on things to keep in mind when going out for projects, summer / winter internships
- Live projects
- Mentoring students
- Aid in research
- Curriculum building/course structuring
- Guest speakers/ Visiting faculty with an industry overview
- Placement : What the industry is looking for in terms of jobs / updates / domain specific trends, knowing the organization, knowing the capabilities of SIMC students
- Development of entrepreneurial acumen
For the aforementioned, it is crucial to understand that meetings and interactions on a consistent basis are essential. In order to accomplish all this and more, the cell has a dedicated team in place, comprising of the following members:
